Break The Chain of Your Strong Hold

Strong Men & Women,

Negativity is toxic and we have to practice daily to be positive.  Some people just have a good disposition and see the glass as half full, but, not everyone is wired that way, maybe, the environment in which they grew up was not too happy, this plays out in one's life.  However, it is vital to purposefully seek to be positive, to think and talk positive.  It is also vital to clear out the mind and get rid of old and new thoughts that are poisonous to you.

Prayer is so important in the process of renewing of the mind.  If you are use to negative thoughts then it certainly is a process to change and maintain the change.  One may change for a day, but the key is not to revert back to that which is toxic.  Something that is toxic does not always have a sudden effect, but overtime it can take a toll on the mind, body and soul.  So, it takes prayer, faith and effort to rid yourself of negativity.  It is good to ask yourself, "what and possibly who is toxic to me and what steps do I need to take to capture all that is positive, so that I may be positive?"  At times, this is in spite of, because, there are certain people that you may have to be around who are not necessarily positive, but you can not change that, however, you can pray for them and make sure not to take on any of their negative ways or let it affect your process to be positive.  How do you do this?  Well, first, make up in your mind that you are actively pursuing happiness and peace of mind. Although, you may be inside of a negative environment, you are going to think of the best way to not be of it and maintain your process.  This may mean if a negative comment is made in your presence you tell yourself that you have no comment and that you will not engage in one, you may have to remove yourself from the environment for awhile and leave negative to its own space, you may have to begin to discover how to simply do things that bring you joy, you may need to consider having a talk with that person if they are significant in your life and give them a gentle notification that you are not about being negative and not to expect any conversations that are not positive from you.

Negativity brings on stress and is irritating to one's ability to just be.  Constant negativity is no good and you have to work on replacing it with positive thoughts, people, things, reminders.  Keep a scripture in mind or even written on paper and carry it in your pocket, but keep a reminder of where your head needs to stay.  Keep combating the negative, it seems to have its own energy to thrive so, you have to have energy to thrive too, but with a positive attitude.  Free yourself from negativity and plan to move your life to letting others keep their negative ways, not taking on negative conversations and understand that negativity is toxic.

Start today to make strides to really put positivity in front of you.  Do not share in negativity, just do not take it on.  Everyday, be productive to working on positive, and you will draw positive things and people your way.

When You Are Hurting

Hello Strong Men & Women,

I have been having conversations with so many hurt or simply unhappy people lately, it seems. I feel compelled to blog on the subject.  You know, I see hurt as something that is considered indescribable and unreachable.  Hurt can take one to a place of surrender, wherein, you give in to what you have been fighting against.  For example, someone may be determined not to be emotionally affected by someone close to them that puts them down, but the day comes when everything makes for the perfect storm, the melt down, when all emotions are on the loose and the pressure cooker explodes.

I had various conversations with individuals that touched on reasons why they feel hurt or unhappy.  So, I am thinking, what can I say to ease their hurt or unhappiness, but it is also good to listen and say  a prayer in your heart. I am not an expert who can say do this and you will be rid of all hurt and unhappiness.  But, I do know from experience that prayer and actively working on becoming strong is vital in healing.  Sometimes, the people that we let into our lives do not have overall good intentions and do not reciprocate kindness, real sense of friendship and genuine compassion for others.  In many cases, there are relationships and friendships that are broken because one hurt the other.

I could go through many situations where people become hurt and unhappy.  Instead, I want to encourage anyone reading this who is hurt and just can not figure out why this happened.  First, I say, for every moment that you want to play back what happened, don't, pray instead,  give yourself room to feel the sadness that it brings then, be thankful for the revelation.  Sometimes, when we see things after the fact, we get upset, which is human, but be thankful too that you know what you did not know before.  Second, I want to say, do not place blame on you for not seeing or maybe you decided to ignore signs.  All you can do from here is take in the lesson and apply it to your future.  Give yourself credit for even feeling hurt.  Some people just are cold and care very little.  Just to have feelings that are real and can be extended to another is in its own way a blessing.  If you are caring and loving remain that way.  Do not become bitter and begin to build the highest emotional wall ever, just be thankful for the heart that you have to be kind, gentle, thoughtful, understanding and good, by no means does this make you gullible.  It makes you human, living in God's light.

Never feel that you can not recover from pain and unhappiness.  It is a part of life and we have to  go through it with hope and courage.  You can recover, you can find happiness, you can heal, you can find peace of mind.  Let God help, He will listen and will never walk away.

When You Don't Feel Ready For Change

Hello Strong Men & Women,

There comes a time in life when change is inevitable, but, we are just not ready.  The part of us that is not ready, is uncomfortable and can not see all that change will bring.  However, if it is for the better of your health, sanity or spiritual well being, then guess what, you are in for a pleasant surprise.  Many times, we become complacent in pain, misery, grief or meritocracy and there is no real vision or perception of change, it is too unfamiliar.  Complacency steals time, joy and dreams.  We are made to fulfill purpose in life, God does not want us to not live our purpose, nor does He want us to stay stuck in any situation.

Change can be shockingly painful, because, we realize that we may have to leave others behind that pull us down, let go of negative situations in our lives, give God control and do as He says and at times, it can really hurt.  However, it is what is best, if we truly want to be happy.

Change for the better can only make you better.  There is nothing that God can not do, so you know that He can step right in the middle of your situation and pull you to the top.  We only get (1) life and it is not for others to destroy, but for us to live and live it to the best of our ability.  We can not control others, but we can be in control of us.  We know in our hearts what is going to improve our life, it is the sigh of not wanting this to be our reality, but most times, it is.  Therefore, if we choose not to change, the situation will only stay the same or worsen.  My advice to you is to pray, tell God your fears, but also, give Him your trust.

You will be o.k. You may not be ready for change, change is ready for you.

I hope the song below inspires you.

A Message and My Monday Song

Hello everyone,

As I began this inspirational blog, I shared that I was going through something.  Well, recently, I threw myself into loads of projects to get through, but wore myself down instead.  I needed a break and some new found strength.  So, in faith, I will continue on and try my best to inspire you.

If You Don't, You Won't

There are places in life where we must make a decision to do or not to do.  Life's cycle is perpetual, each year goes by with or without our cooperation.  We may try to buy time, hold off on things, give ourselves reasons not to do, but guess what, the sun rises, then sets, the moon comes out and it starts all over again the next day.  So, if you don't decide to believe in yourself and make your dreams come true, you won't become who you are meant to become.

Fear is our worst enemy, but it enjoys being cozy with us.  Fear wants to be our very best friend. Why, so that it can conquer you in spite of the real fact that you have a dream and you know that you have a purpose.  Fear is a bully that will only continue, if you let it.  Here is the good news about fear.  You have power over it.  You can take fear along for a little while.  What do I mean by this?  What I mean is that in the beginning of your journey toward your dreams you may have a little nerves about it, which is fear, but then you must give fear the boot and step out on faith.  So, this is just one moment worth of realization that you are really doing this, pursuing your dreams and after that, the boot.

It is o.k.. to envision, to close your eyes and day dream about becoming, but when does the becoming begin?  You have to do, if you don't, you won't.  Life is here for you to live on purpose and you were put in the cycle of life to live out something wonderful and make a mark on someone somewhere in this world.  But if you don't, you won't.

I am just saying that all things are possible.  This is scripture, so if you can not believe that you can do it, believe the scripture.  If all things are possible, why aren't you included.  We are all included.  It is our own lack of faith in ourselves that keeps the possible from happening.  I was about to say, just imagine you being who you were meant to be, it is time to do, to be, to stand in the place that your purpose has reserved for you.

Just a thought to encourage you.  Don't dare to dream be the dream.  If you don't, you won't.

Men go through so much and for the women reading this entry, it is important that we show them that they are appreciated.  We should never assume, because they are men, they are strong all by themselves.  We need to tell them and show them that they matter to us and to the world, that they are special in your eyes.  This entry is to motivate the men and to give the so hope as they pursue their dreams.

When You Get Tired of Being Tired

Hello Friends & Family,

Keep holding and praying, ask God to hold on to you.  Sometimes, there is no more words to say, there are no more tears to cry, but in your heart and mind go to God in the quiet and lean as hard as you can. God is not going to abandon you, He will offer peace and comfort and will be a tried and true friend.  He will sit with you for as long as you want to sit, He will lend you His shoulder for as long as you need it and will give His hand to hold for as long as you need it to hold.

So, you wonder, how do I go to Him with things being so noisy and chaotic?  What better time to find peace than in the most noise.  You will never be a number to God, you will always be His child, so tell what hurts and everything else you want Him to know and you will begin to feel a calmness that will give you the ability to sit down and rest if you like or just grab a good nap or just take a walk with peace of mind, enjoying the beauty of the birds flying, the trees changing, the freshness of the air, finally, being able to take a good deep breathe.    I am not telling you anything that I have not experienced for myself.  So, if you are tired of being tired, tell God and ask Him to turn it around for you.  It is o.k. to be tired, but keep some sort of pace, do not allow yourself to become stagnant, have you ever watched a runners marathon where the runners get tired and can hardly keep running, at times, they resort to crawling, but they keep trying and keep trying?  They barely have a pace, but they don't stop, that has to be you, don't stop, read scriptures, pray, sing, build an imagination to see yourself stronger, more courageous, whatever it is, you need see it, meditate, write, do something that will keep you moving away from doubt or hopelessness, take a chance on you and God working on things together.

Please excuse the word chosen by the commentator

Let God Be Your Help

Hello Everyone,

God is all mighty. There is no power on this earth or anywhere inside or outside of the universe that has power greater than God.  He is our help in times of sadness, suffering and pain.  Have you ever thought of how when you weep, he may be sitting right there beside you with His hand on yours comforting you?  Have you ever had that feeling of comfort during your hardest cry?  All of a sudden, there is a calm that comes over you.  He is so wonderful and empathetic to how we feel.  He will not let us be comfortless.

In the inspirational video posted below shows the late Ron Winans and his sister Ce Ce Winans.  Ron Winan become very ill with his heart and was in a coma.  There was no hope for him to live, but, God step in brought him out of his coma, raised him up and there, you see him singing.  God helped him and gave him back to his family for a little while longer and restored his strength to sing again.

Never feel that God won't, because, He surely will.

Lean on God for your help.

Push Your Passion, Be Your Purpose

Hello Everyone,

Push your passion, be your purpose and give it all you've got.  If you want to sing, be the best crooner anyone has ever heard, if you want to be a musician put your heart in every tune, if you want to be a leader, have the biggest nerve to stand alone if you must, because, you believe in your cause, but, push your passion, be your purpose and give it all you've got.  What is your limit you ask?  Are you ready for the answer?  Your limit is 0.  You can go as far as you wish, once you believe.  There are no limits for you, only those made by you.

Push your passion, be your purpose and give it all you've got.  Pray always.

The Honor Of Men

Hello Brothers, Uncles, Fathers, Nephews, Husbands and Sons

This is the very first Wednesday of "The Honor Of Men."  The series is intended to enlighten, encourage, educate and hopefully help to change how you may view yourself. I hope to have special guests that will give you a message of strength and hope.  I do not know how a man's life is everyday, I know that you make many sacrifices and swallow big pills for the sake of family, livelihood or other reasons.  I know that you have days like this, but you must begin to map out how you can truly live your dreams.  Faith is huge when it comes to success and progress and as you take steps toward your dreams, you will actually witness things falling into place.  But, you have to take a chance on you, with a clear focus on God.  Pray and move, pray some more than move, pray again than move.  The journey to your true destiny and purpose is a road that can only be traveled by you.  The path has your name on it, the destination spot is your future, so if it is already there for you, for what are you waiting?  I want you to listen to the video below and take in what is being said.  The words are coming from a man who knows the obstacles, the mountains to climb, how it feels to struggle and most of all how to overcome.  Believe, your change is coming.  The second video is of musical inspiration.

Does The Nail Hurt Yet?

Hello Everyone,

I was reflecting earlier on a conversation that I had with a friend, within that conversation he said, "The nail does not hurt yet."  I asked him what was he talking about?  He went on to tell me a story of a man walking his dog in the park and the man encountered a stranger.  He and the stranger began conversing and while doing so, the dog sat down upon a log.  The stranger said to the man, "your dog just sat on that log, and sat on a nail that was sticking up from it."  The man said to the stranger "when it hurts enough, he will get up."  My friend told me this story awhile ago and it just popped up in my mind.  I began to think, why do we allow ourselves to go through tumultuous situations and continue to sit on that nail that is sticking us, hurting us, bruising us, drawing blood and could be toxic to us?  I think that the answer in part is because, we pray for things to improve, we are faced with uncertainty and our faith becomes weakened.

I want to encourage you to not wait until the nail that could be rusted causes you damage or harm.  Take a self-assessment of the damage and harm that has been caused thus far, and get off of the nail.  When you begin to pray to God for the increase of your faith and strength begin to get the mindset that God will make you strong and increase your faith to the level that you will stand on his word no matter what.  You will not let fear settle in your heart or doubt in your mind, because people outside of you are just that, people, circumstances outside of your control are not your worry.  Take time to read the Serenity Prayer and take comfort in knowing that somethings we do not have the power to change, but the wisdom to know the difference is power.  Please do not let anyone or your circumstances make you feel compelled to sit on that nail.  The power is not with those people and things, but with God.  He will give you confidence and inner peace and strength that will be a part of you before you realize.  Keep prayer on your lips and speak positivity and life in the midst of adversity and He will meet you right where you are.  Jesus already took the nails for us, so we must show Him that we believe in His sacrifice and courage.  Believe in Him and His Father in Heaven and from this day forward, be strong, be confident, be in faith and watch God move on your behalf.

You Will Be O.k.

Hello Everyone,

Have you tried to tell someone something or ask for help and the person/persons did not want  to hear what you had to say?  Listen, God hears.  Lean and depend on him when you can not get anyone else to hear you.  God will help you to cope and get through your troubles.  God will be your counsel and tell you exactly what to do, and you will be o.k.   I am a witness, He will talk to your heart and go with you when you go through.  He is our Mighty God, Our Strong Tower.
