Break The Chain of Your Strong Hold

Strong Men & Women,

Negativity is toxic and we have to practice daily to be positive.  Some people just have a good disposition and see the glass as half full, but, not everyone is wired that way, maybe, the environment in which they grew up was not too happy, this plays out in one's life.  However, it is vital to purposefully seek to be positive, to think and talk positive.  It is also vital to clear out the mind and get rid of old and new thoughts that are poisonous to you.

Prayer is so important in the process of renewing of the mind.  If you are use to negative thoughts then it certainly is a process to change and maintain the change.  One may change for a day, but the key is not to revert back to that which is toxic.  Something that is toxic does not always have a sudden effect, but overtime it can take a toll on the mind, body and soul.  So, it takes prayer, faith and effort to rid yourself of negativity.  It is good to ask yourself, "what and possibly who is toxic to me and what steps do I need to take to capture all that is positive, so that I may be positive?"  At times, this is in spite of, because, there are certain people that you may have to be around who are not necessarily positive, but you can not change that, however, you can pray for them and make sure not to take on any of their negative ways or let it affect your process to be positive.  How do you do this?  Well, first, make up in your mind that you are actively pursuing happiness and peace of mind. Although, you may be inside of a negative environment, you are going to think of the best way to not be of it and maintain your process.  This may mean if a negative comment is made in your presence you tell yourself that you have no comment and that you will not engage in one, you may have to remove yourself from the environment for awhile and leave negative to its own space, you may have to begin to discover how to simply do things that bring you joy, you may need to consider having a talk with that person if they are significant in your life and give them a gentle notification that you are not about being negative and not to expect any conversations that are not positive from you.

Negativity brings on stress and is irritating to one's ability to just be.  Constant negativity is no good and you have to work on replacing it with positive thoughts, people, things, reminders.  Keep a scripture in mind or even written on paper and carry it in your pocket, but keep a reminder of where your head needs to stay.  Keep combating the negative, it seems to have its own energy to thrive so, you have to have energy to thrive too, but with a positive attitude.  Free yourself from negativity and plan to move your life to letting others keep their negative ways, not taking on negative conversations and understand that negativity is toxic.

Start today to make strides to really put positivity in front of you.  Do not share in negativity, just do not take it on.  Everyday, be productive to working on positive, and you will draw positive things and people your way.

When You Don't Feel Ready For Change

Hello Strong Men & Women,

There comes a time in life when change is inevitable, but, we are just not ready.  The part of us that is not ready, is uncomfortable and can not see all that change will bring.  However, if it is for the better of your health, sanity or spiritual well being, then guess what, you are in for a pleasant surprise.  Many times, we become complacent in pain, misery, grief or meritocracy and there is no real vision or perception of change, it is too unfamiliar.  Complacency steals time, joy and dreams.  We are made to fulfill purpose in life, God does not want us to not live our purpose, nor does He want us to stay stuck in any situation.

Change can be shockingly painful, because, we realize that we may have to leave others behind that pull us down, let go of negative situations in our lives, give God control and do as He says and at times, it can really hurt.  However, it is what is best, if we truly want to be happy.

Change for the better can only make you better.  There is nothing that God can not do, so you know that He can step right in the middle of your situation and pull you to the top.  We only get (1) life and it is not for others to destroy, but for us to live and live it to the best of our ability.  We can not control others, but we can be in control of us.  We know in our hearts what is going to improve our life, it is the sigh of not wanting this to be our reality, but most times, it is.  Therefore, if we choose not to change, the situation will only stay the same or worsen.  My advice to you is to pray, tell God your fears, but also, give Him your trust.

You will be o.k. You may not be ready for change, change is ready for you.

I hope the song below inspires you.

Get Yourself In The Game

Hello Everyone,

You know me,  I am always talking about pursuing your dreams, making your dreams happen and I hope you never tire of reading it, because, you can really make your dreams come true.  It takes work and focus and steps toward your dreams, but you are truly able to live what you dream.  You may say, "how, how can I even begin?"  Begin by saying to yourself that you are beginning your journey, with everyday you will take another step, whether it is making a to do list and checking things off as you go, designing a business card, beginning to speak into existence your dream, begin to network. You do not need thousands or even hundreds of dollars to begin to get out and network, let people see and hear you.  Do not look at how someone else spent thousands to start their business, find out how to do it for less. Take it one step at a time, one day at a time, but get motivated and never forget to pray.  Maybe the video will help.

It's Time To Breakup -Repost

Hello Everyone,

It is so hard to breakup, because there is an attachment and invested time, a place of familiarity, and it means having to move on.  There is always an excuse to stay and be controlled, but it is time to sit down and chat and finally go in separate ways.  I am talking about a long-term relationship with fear.  Who wants such a relationship, we just do not know how to call the whole thing off. The spirit of fear is something that we allow to enter into our lives.

Fear can run and dictate your life.  Fear loves being boss and telling you what you can and can not do. Fear will be so convincing about having power over us that we fall for the gimmick.  Fear is a great negotiator, negotiating  power away to make us feel that it can break us.  Guess what?  It is time to sit down and have a chat with fear, have not things gone far enough, because of this chaotic relationship with fear?  Fear does not have your back, it tries to use scare tactics to keep you feeling powerless, it lies to you about how much power you truly have, it is a thief stealing confidence, peace, joy and invading your personal space.

So now, it is time to get some composer and kindly breakup.  Fear should no longer be allowed to have one moment more in your life.  Take it all back, whatever was stolen claim it and take it back. Fear won't leave on its' own, it will stay around as long as you let it, just weighing you down.  Go ahead and help fear pack, get all of its' trash talking, emotional strong arming and holding you back ways to the curb.  Set fear out, give fear a warning not to try and comeback, it can knock, but it will not get in.

It is time to point fear to the exit sign.

You Can Get Through It

Hello Everyone,

Last evening I was watching a gospel choir competition and their was a judge named Fred Hammond and he said something that was so profound, he said, "If you fall, praise Him from the floor."  That is such a wonderful thing about the Lord, we can praise Him from where we are, and He will meet us there.  So, if we fall, He will be right there to help us and comfort us, but we have got to praise Him.  We are never so unworthy that we can not talk to Him and share what we are going through.  However, the key is to just say something to Him, even if it is just His name.

You can get through your trials and tribulations.  They may seem so final and the damage may seem permanent, but not so, when it comes to faith in what God can do.  There is no problem so big, but, we have to believe that He will do all that He said.  Here is what I have found, there is a way that we process and assess our circumstance, then, we decide that it needs to be handled a certain way, by a certain time.  So, we zoom in on the outcome that we want.  What about the outcome that God wants for us.  We just have to learn to pray and praise through the fire, pray and praise through the storm, pray and praise through the tears, pray and praise from the floor. Sometimes, we can stand right in the way and cause a real mess, when all that has to be done is to step aside and let God abide.  He will not fail us, but patience is what we must have.  Our time has nothing to do with Him, because His time is right and far exceeds any plan we have.  If we just resign ourselves to trust and let Him work and stop running interference, I will get through and you will get through every trial.  It is not easy to get through trials, they are painful and worrisome, but God will show us just how wonderful and great He is.

You can get through it, whatever it is, just find a way to pray and praise from right where you are. He hears what you don't say.

No Home For Injustice

Hello Everyone,

I want to announce that starting April, I will begin bringing awareness to various news and events of injustice starting every 4th Wednesday of each month to allow the word time to get out about an injustice.  No Home for Injustice is the title of this segment of the blog.  There are so many cases that are not brought to the forefront and they need public attention.  Advocacy is what I have done all of my life and it is something that is my purpose.

I will bring to you stories from around the world of injustices.  Change must begin somewhere, but how about with us.  We must change our attitudes about what happens to others and not always feel that it has nothing to do with us.  We can start to at least care and say a prayer for those that have been hurt by injustice.  As the great Dr. Martin Luther King said in his letter from the Birmingham jail, what affects one directly affects us all indirectly,  this is not an exact quote, but it is close.

Injustice is wrong and it takes awareness and people willing to speak out, write lawmakers, walk the streets in non-violent protest to make change.  If we knock and the door is shut in our faces, we should knock again, if we knock again and the door is shut and then locked, we knock again.

I hope that you follow every month.

I like to close each blog with a video of meaning.

Until next time,
Oreadea
