Good Morning Strong Men and Women,
Have you ever been in a situation where you just keep trying over and over again to fix something or you try over and over again to understand what you will not understand? Yes, me too, here was my
lesson out of it, if it is meant to be fixed - it will, if you are meant to understand - you will. It is really simple. So, stop exhausting your energy working on a "junked car;" it is no good and will not work for you. Sure, you may have feelings about leaving well enough alone, but, you will get over it. Take a good deep breath and make the beneficial decision to get over it. Let's look at it this way, to try means to put in effort to achieve something. Sometimes, to try is all that you can do, once you have done that enough times and see that there will be no change, and that no change is not good, then, step away. Don't dismay yourself over that which is not bringing results of peace, joy or again change.
Let me share this with you, pay very close attention, are you ready for this? Here it is - Life is precious and too short, your life is too valuable, you are too valuable, your time is valuable, God made you not to suffer, but, to prosper, you deserve peace and joy, you matter more, you deserve the best, here is where I stop, but, I could go on and on........
Let me share something else with you........
God grant me the SERENITY to accept the things that I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things I can and the WISDOM to know the difference........
This is the first part of the Serenity Prayer. Someone great in my life said it to me one day and I am sharing it with you. It made a difference for me.
Be more diligent in caring about yourself, move yourself up on your priority list right beneath God and work and live in that manner. Because, unless you do this, how can you be any good to anyone else. You have got to reconcile with the hard fact that some things, some people have to be left alone. Stop letting your joy be stolen over and over again, because, you keep trying over and over again to work on an issue that can not be resuscitated. Cherish you more for the good of yourself. Life is too short and your happiness and peace of mind are too important. God does not want you to be heavy laden with that which He did not give you, in the first place. As humans, too often, we go after something or someone that we feel we have to have and the creation of unhappiness begins. God does not work in pain and dismay. Think about it, pray about it, then breathe and get over it, for your sake.
I hope this video inspires you. Be strong, you will be just fine. I did not say it would be easy, but, you will get through it and be fine.

Just Get Off Of The Battlefield Please
Hello my strong Men and Women - my Winners,
My last post was in November, as a blogger, who blogs weekly, I find that it is not the easiest thing to do. With the holidays approaching business became busy. I will not complain about that, but, I needed to carve out time to get back to my blog. So, here we go........
I want to inspire you with this post encouraging you to learn to move out of ,not just your own way, but, move out of God's way. Stop trying to be the player and the coach. We as humans, run out of energy trying to figure out everything to every situation. We can't, I know, their is no such thing as the word "can't," but, we can't. We are not able to see into the future that way or make the impossible possible. Only our Father in His Great Heaven can do that. Life is no joy ride and many tears we will cry on the journey through it. However, those bumps in the road are often times, created by us. We get in the way and cause hardship on ourselves. When I was going through a rough time in my life.
I remember being in my parent's kitchen and my Dad looked at me and said, "Ree, why do you ask God to fght your battles, but, you stay on the battlefield, get off the battlefield and out of His way, so, He can do what you asked Him to do; get off the field." I looked at my Dad and he simply said in his loving voice, "Stop trying to do it yourself, you can't figure it all out, it's too much stress; God, on the other hand can fix it all." I felt a sense of surrender, in my chest, as if for the first time in a long time I could inhale. Have you noticed when you are going through something and you finally get some relief, you feel like you have been holding your breath for a longtime? That is how I felt. I am realizing that many of my posts will probaby reference my Dad and the things he said to me. I have always referenced his words to family and friends, but, I think more so now that I lost him. He left this year and his lessons stick right with me; if they help you, I am more than happy to share.
There is no book that touches on every part of life and how to live through your downs and how to find your way up. Authors write books on specific topic to help the reader meet a need and achieve a goal. There is one book however, that covers everything. The answer to any question is in it. That book is the Bible. If you are wondering how to get off the battlefield and let God fight your battle, look to your bible for guidance and strength to just pray and be still. We are so use to being reactive but, it is not always best. Of course, if there is a report of a hurricane getting ready to make landfall in your city and the weather reporter says, leave your home, head to safety in the next state, you will do that. However, if a hurricane comes into your life do you really need to scramble and run to and fro trying to stop the hurricane? No, because that is not possible. I am referencing my Dad again, he would tell me to find the eye of the hurricane, where the stillness is and just sit right there. He said that you are going to see all types of debris, maybe even animals being tossed about, but, you stay right in that eye, where there is calm, stay right there until the storm is over. So, my strong men and women, my winners, prayer and believing is our eye of the storm. It will your peace in the time of trouble. But, look at this, if you decide that the battlefield is where you belong and you have to challenge and tackle the situation and fight it yourself, the hurricane may cause injuries that would not have otherwise happened. We have to just know that God will come through. He will not allow anything or anyone to destroy you. But, don't try to hurry Him by running on the field, because, you think that you can help Him. As someone special to me always says, "one thing for certain, two things for sure......." So, I say, one thing for certain, two things for sure, God does not need our help to do anything. The only thing that He ask of us is to believe. So, if you can just sit down in the eye of that storm and keep still and believe, you will see God's greatness and how He works things out for your good.

How To Believe
Hello Everyone,
Life is something that we can not predict it's every twist and turn, we hope, pray and anticipate. This is where believing and faith comes into play. We are not made to know everything, nor could we handle it if we did. God knows how much we can bare and when we can bare it. Thus, life happens.
So, how does one believe? First, you must believe that God is almighty and that He keeps His word, no mater what. We, however, must trust Him and look to Him for help. One believes by accepting the fact that God may not come when we want Him, but, He is always on time. One believes by surrendering worries upon Him and trusting that He will come through. One believes by letting God be there through it all and yield not to how one perceives things should be, but, look forward to God's results, which will far exceed anything one could ever imagine.
I have learned that God is a true friend and wonderful heavenly Father. He makes His presence known, when we need His shoulder to lean upon, He will let us lean as long as we need. Someone very near and dear to me once recited the Serenity Prayer to me, I am so thankful. It helped me so much. I would always reflect on the first part. I would like to share the entire prayer with you.
Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
Believe that God will come through.

When Someone Hurts You And You Need Peace Of Mind
Hello Strong Men & Women,
It seems that I have been having conversations with so many hurt or simply unhappy people lately. I feel compelled to blog on the subject. You know, I see hurt as something felt in a place that is considered indescribable and unreachable. Hurt can take one to a place of surrender, wherein, you give in to what you have been fighting against. For example, someone may be determined not to be emotionally affected by someone close to them that puts them down, but the day comes when everything makes for the perfect storm, that person's mood, the fact that they have begun to be affected by the person, even fatigue sets in and it happens, the melt down, when all emotions are on the loose and the pressure cooker explodes.
I had various conversations with individuals that touched on reasons why they feel hurt or unhappy. So, I am thinking, what can I say to ease their hurt or unhappiness, but it is good to listen at times, and say nothing other than a prayer in your heart. I am not an expert who can say do this and you will be rid of all hurt and unhappiness. But, I do know from experience that prayer and actively working on becoming strong is vital in healing. Sometimes, the people that we let into our lives do not have overall good intentions and do not reciprocate your kindness, real sense of friendship and genuine compassion for them. In some cases, there are relationships and friendships that are broken because one hurt the other.
I could go through many situations where people become hurt and unhappy. I will add that decisions we make are not always good ones and therefore, we somewhat dig our own ditch. But, what I want to do is encourage anyone reading this who is hurt and just can not figure out why this happened. First, I say, for every moment that you want to play back what happened, don't, pray instead, give yourself room to feel the sadness that it brings then be thankful for the revelation. Sometimes, when we see things after the fact, we get upset, which is human, but be thankful too that you know what you did not before. Second, I want to say, do not place blame on you for not seeing or maybe you did and decided to ignore signs. All you can do from here is take in the lesson and apply it to your future. Give yourself credit for even feeling hurt. Some people just are cold and care very little. Just to have feelings that are real and can be extended to another is in its own way a blessing. If you are caring and loving, remain that way. Do not become bitter and begin to build the highest emotional wall ever, just be thankful for the heart that you have to be kind, gentle, thoughtful, understanding and good, by no means does this make you gullible. It makes you human, living in God's light.
There is a video that I watched awhile ago and I heard the song sung by a different artist. The song is titled "Peace of Mind" sung by Lauryn Hill. During the time that she sung this song she was hurt and in tremendous pain over a breakup, the song gave her an outlet. Never feel that you can not recover from pain and unhappiness. It is a part of life's lessons and we have to learn to grow from them and be encouraged to move passed them. You can recover, you can find happiness, you can heal, you can find peace of mind. I have my own story too, so, I understand your hurt. Just never doubt God's power to heal your hurt. Let Him Be Your Peace Of Mind.

What Is Your Monday Song?
Hello Strong Men & Women.
This is my Monday song. Through it all, God has worked it for my good. I thank Him for my song.
In our lives, we make mistakes and for those mistakes, we must go through a storm to wake us up.
The hurt, pain, misfortune and failures that we endure, many times, are because we did what was pleasing to us, not pleasing to God. Thus, the storm comes, the winds blow, the thunder roars and the lightening flashes, but that heavy rain helps to wash it away, it helps to usher in the sun, it serves a purpose to refresh us, awaken us, help us to see our errors and make us feel whole, inspite of our mistakes. God uses our mis-step to teach, refine and take us to a different place that will remove the stain of mistakes and give us a smile that only He can give.

Are You Comfortable? Repost
Hello Strong Men & Women,
Do you feel quite content with where you are, but still have a dream? How can that be you ask? Well, it can happen by feeling that you have done pretty good for yourself, a decent job, financially fit and just satisfied. Then, you look at your dream and determine, it does not seem attainable, but that is no big deal, because........you are comfortable, no real complaints right?
Comfort does not necessarily equal true fulfillment, until you pursue your dreams and make them happen, you should not lay back in your easy chair. There is more life to be had. When we see dreams as being unattainable, that is when negative thoughts begin to tell you, "look at that dream, it is too far for you to reach," "You need to be satisfied with what you have accomplished, not many have done what you have done, stop trying to be so happy." Have you heard this one, "Why put yourself through the pressures of going after that dream, it is not worth facing its' challenges, you are afraid anyway?" All of this is just mental noise and has nothing to do with anything until, you listen to it.
Get out of being comfortable, step out of your comfort zone and start getting in motion. It does not have to be a quick motion. It is like riding a bike, the gears have to get in alignment, you have to repeatedly peddle for a nice smooth ride, but to get to that point, you start out with a slow peddling motion, you have to hold on to the handle bars to really get some momentum, but if you just stay in motion, keep peddling......guess what, it begins to happen, it gets easier and now you can ride with no hands. Hills maybe in the path, but, if you keep peddling, you will make it to the top, because you stayed in motion. As fun as biking is, it is not always easy, it takes effort, safety gear, which for us, is ...prayer. However, along the way, you will see beautiful scenes, you may meet others who share your ambitions, there will be nice smooth surfaces. It will not happen if you do not try and to your surprise, you might become uncomfortable.
My message is, do not consider comfortable as where you should be. If you do not have dreams and are truly satisfied, then, be comfortable. This does not pertain to you. But, if you have this burning desire that just will not leave you alone, then you need to get in motion and stay in motion. Do not stop because of negative thoughts or even negative comments from others. This has always been my feeling, those that do not support my dreams did not make me. He who crafted and created me and wired me a certain way has given me this dream, ultimately, the dream is actually my purpose. So, my dream constantly nudges me and keeps me in motion. I am going to keep peddling until I get there. So, for you, please keep peddling too:)

God's Promise
Hello Everyone,
Be encouraged. God will never fail and His promises, He will fulfill. Storms may come and winds may blow in our lives, but God will deliver us out of our bad situation, our lonely situation, our frightening situation, but we must stand on His word. As humans, we try to figure it out and we want deliverance now. Who enjoys suffering or being in a situation, no one. Here is the key - prayer and faith.
These two things will give us endurance to keep going and to build up spiritual muscle.
God is never confused nor does He work without a plan. He is our protector and comforter and will not let anything break us. A very wise man of God once said, "There are times in life when we feel that we can not hold on and we pray to God to help us to hold on to Him, but when you are feeling at the end of your rope, ask God to hold on to You." "When you just feel that you can no longer hold on, ask God to hold on to you." We must do this, God is almighty and can hold on to all of us at once. We are not an island and should not attempt life on our own when God is right there to help as He promised. We can not give up or give in to doubt on our worst day, because the sun will shine again. The sun does not refuse to shine, it still shines even behind the clouds.
