Hello my strong Men and Women - my Winners,
My last post was in November, as a blogger, who blogs weekly, I find that it is not the easiest thing to do. With the holidays approaching business became busy. I will not complain about that, but, I needed to carve out time to get back to my blog. So, here we go........
I want to inspire you with this post encouraging you to learn to move out of ,not just your own way, but, move out of God's way. Stop trying to be the player and the coach. We as humans, run out of energy trying to figure out everything to every situation. We can't, I know, their is no such thing as the word "can't," but, we can't. We are not able to see into the future that way or make the impossible possible. Only our Father in His Great Heaven can do that. Life is no joy ride and many tears we will cry on the journey through it. However, those bumps in the road are often times, created by us. We get in the way and cause hardship on ourselves. When I was going through a rough time in my life.
I remember being in my parent's kitchen and my Dad looked at me and said, "Ree, why do you ask God to fght your battles, but, you stay on the battlefield, get off the battlefield and out of His way, so, He can do what you asked Him to do; get off the field." I looked at my Dad and he simply said in his loving voice, "Stop trying to do it yourself, you can't figure it all out, it's too much stress; God, on the other hand can fix it all." I felt a sense of surrender, in my chest, as if for the first time in a long time I could inhale. Have you noticed when you are going through something and you finally get some relief, you feel like you have been holding your breath for a longtime? That is how I felt. I am realizing that many of my posts will probaby reference my Dad and the things he said to me. I have always referenced his words to family and friends, but, I think more so now that I lost him. He left this year and his lessons stick right with me; if they help you, I am more than happy to share.
There is no book that touches on every part of life and how to live through your downs and how to find your way up. Authors write books on specific topic to help the reader meet a need and achieve a goal. There is one book however, that covers everything. The answer to any question is in it. That book is the Bible. If you are wondering how to get off the battlefield and let God fight your battle, look to your bible for guidance and strength to just pray and be still. We are so use to being reactive but, it is not always best. Of course, if there is a report of a hurricane getting ready to make landfall in your city and the weather reporter says, leave your home, head to safety in the next state, you will do that. However, if a hurricane comes into your life do you really need to scramble and run to and fro trying to stop the hurricane? No, because that is not possible. I am referencing my Dad again, he would tell me to find the eye of the hurricane, where the stillness is and just sit right there. He said that you are going to see all types of debris, maybe even animals being tossed about, but, you stay right in that eye, where there is calm, stay right there until the storm is over. So, my strong men and women, my winners, prayer and believing is our eye of the storm. It will your peace in the time of trouble. But, look at this, if you decide that the battlefield is where you belong and you have to challenge and tackle the situation and fight it yourself, the hurricane may cause injuries that would not have otherwise happened. We have to just know that God will come through. He will not allow anything or anyone to destroy you. But, don't try to hurry Him by running on the field, because, you think that you can help Him. As someone special to me always says, "one thing for certain, two things for sure......." So, I say, one thing for certain, two things for sure, God does not need our help to do anything. The only thing that He ask of us is to believe. So, if you can just sit down in the eye of that storm and keep still and believe, you will see God's greatness and how He works things out for your good.
I dedicate this video to you

When You Are Hurting
Hello Strong Men & Women,
I have been having conversations with so many hurt or simply unhappy people lately, it seems. I feel compelled to blog on the subject. You know, I see hurt as something that is considered indescribable and unreachable. Hurt can take one to a place of surrender, wherein, you give in to what you have been fighting against. For example, someone may be determined not to be emotionally affected by someone close to them that puts them down, but the day comes when everything makes for the perfect storm, the melt down, when all emotions are on the loose and the pressure cooker explodes.
I had various conversations with individuals that touched on reasons why they feel hurt or unhappy. So, I am thinking, what can I say to ease their hurt or unhappiness, but it is also good to listen and say a prayer in your heart. I am not an expert who can say do this and you will be rid of all hurt and unhappiness. But, I do know from experience that prayer and actively working on becoming strong is vital in healing. Sometimes, the people that we let into our lives do not have overall good intentions and do not reciprocate kindness, real sense of friendship and genuine compassion for others. In many cases, there are relationships and friendships that are broken because one hurt the other.
I could go through many situations where people become hurt and unhappy. Instead, I want to encourage anyone reading this who is hurt and just can not figure out why this happened. First, I say, for every moment that you want to play back what happened, don't, pray instead, give yourself room to feel the sadness that it brings then, be thankful for the revelation. Sometimes, when we see things after the fact, we get upset, which is human, but be thankful too that you know what you did not know before. Second, I want to say, do not place blame on you for not seeing or maybe you decided to ignore signs. All you can do from here is take in the lesson and apply it to your future. Give yourself credit for even feeling hurt. Some people just are cold and care very little. Just to have feelings that are real and can be extended to another is in its own way a blessing. If you are caring and loving remain that way. Do not become bitter and begin to build the highest emotional wall ever, just be thankful for the heart that you have to be kind, gentle, thoughtful, understanding and good, by no means does this make you gullible. It makes you human, living in God's light.
Never feel that you can not recover from pain and unhappiness. It is a part of life and we have to go through it with hope and courage. You can recover, you can find happiness, you can heal, you can find peace of mind. Let God help, He will listen and will never walk away.

What Is Your Monday Song?
Hello Strong Men & Women.
This is my Monday song. Through it all, God has worked it for my good. I thank Him for my song.
In our lives, we make mistakes and for those mistakes, we must go through a storm to wake us up.
The hurt, pain, misfortune and failures that we endure, many times, are because we did what was pleasing to us, not pleasing to God. Thus, the storm comes, the winds blow, the thunder roars and the lightening flashes, but that heavy rain helps to wash it away, it helps to usher in the sun, it serves a purpose to refresh us, awaken us, help us to see our errors and make us feel whole, inspite of our mistakes. God uses our mis-step to teach, refine and take us to a different place that will remove the stain of mistakes and give us a smile that only He can give.

You Thought You Could But, Found Out That You Could Not....
My Strong Sisters & Brothers,
We must not leave God out of any equation. Many times, we feel that solving a problem is doable, not necessarily easy, but can be done our way. Well, allow me not to be the messenger of bad news, but, of good news. God is the answer, for He never leaves us alone. In life, we feel that we do so much on our own, but we really do not. How about wake up each day, have the function of limbs, have a stable mind, care and have a true concern for others or go through even (1) day free from hurt, harm or danger. We can easily feel that if we inhale and exhale that it is all us, but no, it is God giving us life, when we awaken, we think, it is "because our bodies have an alarm clock." However, it is God blessing us with another day, when we think things over and reconcile our problems or even decide to brush our teeth and eat, it is God that is keeping our minds, when our hearts have love for others, it is God that we are sharing with others. God is there for us through everything and we must keep Him in everything.
Many, Many times we think that we are a bother to God, because, we cry to Him so often about the same problem, can you believe that He is there every time. He will wait on us to put our entire trust in Him. He already knows what to do with our problems and how to fix them. Unfortunately, we are so easy to just pass our control, our happiness and our securities over to others. Yet, we hold on to the very thing that God asks us to give Him, our troubles, our cares, our burdens. He wants to make us whole, not leave us in a broken state. We must allow Him to help us put the pieces back together. He can make us brand new and free from torment, worry, stress, doubt and depression. I added doubt, because, we are so held down from climbing up due to doubting that we can do anything right. Well, God does not agree with that, He wants to raise us up, lift our heads and give us confidence in His name.
There is no shame what so ever in admitting that we can not do things alone. We should request the presence and intervention of God to come to our rescue, to make a wonderful difference in our lives, to counsel us and give us pure joy in our hearts, bless our feet that we may walk in the strength that He commands. All of this, He promises to do for us right here on earth. All we have to do is to stop thinking that we can do it alone and give God the controls. No one or nothing is greater than He.

When You Don't Feel Ready For Change
Hello Strong Men & Women,
There comes a time in life when change is inevitable, but, we are just not ready. The part of us that is not ready, is uncomfortable and can not see all that change will bring. However, if it is for the better of your health, sanity or spiritual well being, then guess what, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Many times, we become complacent in pain, misery, grief or meritocracy and there is no real vision or perception of change, it is too unfamiliar. Complacency steals time, joy and dreams. We are made to fulfill purpose in life, God does not want us to not live our purpose, nor does He want us to stay stuck in any situation.
Change can be shockingly painful, because, we realize that we may have to leave others behind that pull us down, let go of negative situations in our lives, give God control and do as He says and at times, it can really hurt. However, it is what is best, if we truly want to be happy.
Change for the better can only make you better. There is nothing that God can not do, so you know that He can step right in the middle of your situation and pull you to the top. We only get (1) life and it is not for others to destroy, but for us to live and live it to the best of our ability. We can not control others, but we can be in control of us. We know in our hearts what is going to improve our life, it is the sigh of not wanting this to be our reality, but most times, it is. Therefore, if we choose not to change, the situation will only stay the same or worsen. My advice to you is to pray, tell God your fears, but also, give Him your trust.
You will be o.k. You may not be ready for change, change is ready for you.
I hope the song below inspires you.

Something You Should Know
Hello Everyone,
I have posted the following video previously. I just need to go back to it. There are so many people that are hurt by words of others and their own thoughts, but please know that God loves you. Do not believe the hype of words and thoughts, because they are not truth, God is truth. It is easy to get wrapped up in believing that you are less than, that you are not enough, that you are invisible, that you have no power. Faaaallllllsssseee, absolutely false. You have power, because God placed it in you, not only that, He is all power and will be your fortress and confidence. Take hold of believing in yourself and do not look in the mirror and see what you saw the last time. Look and see that God loves you and has made someone beautiful. We are His children and He has made a great sacrifice, His only son, to show us His love. Therefore, we must reciprocate by not allowing negativity to manipulate us to give time to people, things and thoughts that work against us. Additionally, do not let your self-esteem plummet because of what others say. Who know their motivation and who should care? Anyone who did not create you can not break you. If your self-esteem has been damaged pray and work on it day by day. Pray for the eyes to see your own beauty, kindness and value.

Don't Wonder If You Have Been Forgiven
Hello Everyone,
I have a friend with whom I constantly debate. One debate was about forgiveness and just what that means when it comes to God forgiving us. We disagreed on some points, but let me share my point with you.
Stop self condemnation and believe that God Forgives. I think it is hard for some to believe they have been forgiven for doing something wrong, because, they feel the need to badger themselves to keep from doing it again. Here is the thing, if you have asked God to forgive you and you truly are remorseful, then why not believe that it is done. O.k., self badgering is a mechanism as a reminder not to do it again, but if you have been forgiven that is enough. Just to know that God Himself loves you and with His sincere heart has answered your request of forgiveness, is freedom from what has been done.
Believe in your heart what is asked of Him. It is not something that has to be publicized or told to anyone, just you knowing that your talk with the Father was sincere is worth its weight in gold. God really loves us, He made us and does not want us to not get beyond our faults, but to acknowledge the error in our ways, not repeat it and move on. He looks forward to our happiness and to see us be whole, not broken and guilt ridden. His love is never ending and He believes in us. So, we must learn to grow and flourish and not feel that God is dwelling on our errors, for it is us that actually do that, keeping us bound to regret and guilt. It does not get us any where and slows progress and joy. God's love is great and extends itself beyond mistakes. Once He forgives, we must be thankful and leave it alone.
