Stop Injustice

Hello Everyone,

Every fourth Wednesday of each month an injustice is posted to this blog.  Awareness is paramount to shining a light on not just injustice in America, but all over the world.

Speak Out, Design Your Destiny, Be Encouraged

Hello everyone,

I have an announcement,  I am now on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/oreadea.trueness?ref=tn_tnmn
So, please visit and like me on Facebook, post comments too.

I am discovering that what my Dad told me and tells me over and over, "Oreadea, you are the architect of your destiny," is true.  I have always worked in the community volunteering and doing advocacy work, but it took an experience to bring me to true activism. I now know first hand what it is like to feel that you have no where to go after everyone you went to ignored you.  I can not say much at this time, but I can say from a stand of experience, that injustice has no place anywhere, we always think when we hear injustice that it is domestic violence, street violence on innocent people or racism, but no, it can raise its' ugly head most often than not in other places.

I just want to encourage silent sufferers, not just in possibly domestic violence situations, but other places as well, to speak out, you are stronger than you think.  If you remain silent, it will cause more harm than good.  Pray often and trust that God in heaven hears you and will carry you through.  Believe me when I say, he will have your back and step between you and those out to harm you for choosing not to remain silent.

So, I said that to say, I am not just deciding to take on such a charge out of simply being moved by stories of injustice, but I actually have my own story.  Take courage and believe in your strength no matter what, God will take care of you, it may not seem reasonable to say, do not worry, because you may be faced with decisions that impact your lively hood and life, but, God has got it, and He has got you.

As the architect of my destiny, I choose to be proactive and active in helping others to find their voices, to make a difference in society and to be able to provide encouragement to those who need it.  You too, are the architect of your destiny, the foundation that you decide to lay and the framework that you decide to create will hold up your dreams and be strong for you to build the life that you see for yourself.  Find your strength and build upon it.  No one can tear you down as long as God is building you up.

Story of Injustice

Hello Everyone,

When I began blogging, I wrote that every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month that I would post an injustice from all over the world to bring light to it.  I modified it to every 4th Wednesday of the month to give more time to the story.  I would be careless to say that I am an advocate/activist and not be actively involved in bringing to light injustices to the forefront that have been pushed to the rear of the line for whatever reason.  So, as I find out and discover various injustices, they will be posted every 4th Wednesday.

Here, in America, we are increasingly faced with gun violence.  It is a fast and furious wave of people being gunned down of all ages.  It is a serious problem, and it seems to be difficult for the powers that be to decide on what levels of gun control should become law. The injustice is having to wait on legislatures to communicate and move on a law of protection, compliance and enforcement while the news covers stories everyday of another loss of life due to guns.  Of course, illegal gun purchases will continue, but, if the effort is made to control guns in spite of illegal purchase, it is better than bickering about who, what, where and how.  If stronger laws can be created that include stiffer penalties for violation of gun laws and enforcing begins, some lives will be saved, but being in limbo does not save lives.

The link below is about a promising young lady gunned down at age 15.

All Year Is, Thank You

Hello Everyone,

We have arrived once again, it is Easter season.  Why do we wait for Easter to really think about and appreciate the sacrifice of God to give His only begotten Son and Jesus, to be obedient to His Father and give of His life.

The Journey of Jesus through the searing heat, sand storms and brutal dryness, all for us.  God's committed love for us and Jesus' committed love for God is our saving grace in this world.  There is so much hate in the world, it is so hard to comprehend, for it was hate and jealousy that took Jesus to the cross for His life.  But, I guess, if we could not learn what hate can do from the lesson of Christ, people will continue to spread hate now.

I want to say thank you to God the Father for his great love and for thinking of me long before I was born, for thinking of and loving all of us long before we were born.

What a sad sad story of bullying and cruelty that Jesus endured to save us.  He was literally tortured just because some did not believe and over politics, leaders became jealous.  How can one even begin to have the capacity to understand being spat on, called names, stones being thrown at you, being pushed, and who knows the extent to the bullying day after day, after day.  And, through it all, Jesus continued to walk through sand storms and high heat to continue His commitment to save us.

Tears can not begin to express the sadness to think of how horrible this experience was on top of being betrayed by someone who was suppose to support and protect Him.

Lastly, to be made to carry a heavy cross and  to be beaten on His way to his death.  While along the way, brutal acts that only He could withstand, but for the love of us.

Thank you, you did not have to do this, you could have left us to be lost.

The spirit of Easter should not be for a season, but all year.  The act of love has no expiration date, nor is it a once a year time of acknowledgement.

May I offer for us to begin the daily practice of being thankful for God's love and His son Jesus Christ.

Happy Easter to everyone,

Oreadea

No Home For Injustice

Hello Everyone,

I want to announce that starting April, I will begin bringing awareness to various news and events of injustice starting every 4th Wednesday of each month to allow the word time to get out about an injustice.  No Home for Injustice is the title of this segment of the blog.  There are so many cases that are not brought to the forefront and they need public attention.  Advocacy is what I have done all of my life and it is something that is my purpose.

I will bring to you stories from around the world of injustices.  Change must begin somewhere, but how about with us.  We must change our attitudes about what happens to others and not always feel that it has nothing to do with us.  We can start to at least care and say a prayer for those that have been hurt by injustice.  As the great Dr. Martin Luther King said in his letter from the Birmingham jail, what affects one directly affects us all indirectly,  this is not an exact quote, but it is close.

Injustice is wrong and it takes awareness and people willing to speak out, write lawmakers, walk the streets in non-violent protest to make change.  If we knock and the door is shut in our faces, we should knock again, if we knock again and the door is shut and then locked, we knock again.

I hope that you follow every month.

I like to close each blog with a video of meaning.

Until next time,
Oreadea
