Just checking in with you to share a short story inspired by a friend. Last evening, I was speaking with a dear friend and he said "In the world today so many people are struggling, but the struggles lead to victory." So, he continued on and I listened as he spoke about certain things being symbolic of the struggle while the same symbol represents victory. I gleaned from this that in our struggles of life we have to hold on to faith and know that on the other side of struggle is victory.
In today's economic climate, courts are back logged with divorce cases, finances in bank accounts are dwindling, job loss is hard hitting and job hunts are brutal. There are many that are feeling the effects of stress due to worry about their current state of affairs and can not see a doctor, because there is no health insurance. People are walking around feeling bad, sad, and broke, but even in the midst of it all, the struggles, you can have victory. You have to believe and possibly have something to remind you that you are on your way to victory. For me, I wear crosses, it can be a necklace, ring or bracelet, but it is my symbol to keep in faith and remind me that in the midst of trials God has me.
In all of the noise that the world makes, focus is important so that you will not be caught up in lamenting over your circumstance, but thank God in advance for what is to come and thank Him where you are for what He has done by keeping you everyday, even if you are still in your situation, hope will sustain you and bring peace and patience. One day, it will just ease up on you, days will get better and brighter right in the struggle, your worries will diminish, then you will be able to look forward to the next day and the next anxious about what good it will bring, and you still may be in the struggle. God can turn it around and you will smile just because you are confident that God is right there with you, walking, watching, speaking and loving.
