Hello Everyone,
You know that famous saying, "It is who you know." Well, at times who you know can be an advantage and other times, it is better not to know certain people. It can be a slippery slope with dropping names and using who you know to impress others, because those names you drop may not be the names that the one who you are telling admires. If we can work on being a self-made success through the name of Jesus, we all would be better off. Then, you only have Jesus to thank and that is enough for Him.
There are so many people who are held to favors because someone did them a favor. Some people find themselves regretting having ever done a favor for someone, and it all started with "Who you know." The world of politics is very familiar with this dance and it makes for decisions that one would not ordinarily make, because, someone knew someone and that person did someone a favor now, someone owes another favor-ugh vertigo. This is too much and it keeps one held to another favor.
Wouldn't it be grand to have someone do great things for you and in your best interest, never to hurt you, only to support and lift you without condition, and to keep doing this over and over again. Does this sound too good to be true? It is not, the only name that means everything is Jesus. His name, you do not have to drop to get results. You just have to know Him for yourself and He will exceed what any favor can do. If we can just depend on Him, we can be self-made, because He already sees our placement and knows our heart and does not want us to be placed in a you scratch my back, I scratch your back situation. So, together, let's begin to rely on Jesus and create a stronger relationship with Him and know Him and let Him control our situations. So, in our hearts, in the face of anything, we can say, "I know Jesus, He has got this."
